Trent Krienke
Trent B. Krienke represents clients in the in the health care and long term care and retirement housing fields. He represents them in all facets of their business, including regulatory and operational issues. Mr. Krienke also has substantial experience in healthcare transactional matters.
Representative Experience
- Represented health care providers concerning Medicare overpayment allegations by the Office of Inspector General and Department of Justice
- Represented a number of hospitals in structuring mergers with larger hospital systems
- Represented hospital in the sale of all hospital facilities and assets to a non-profit hospital system
- Represented numerous health care providers in structuring arrangements to comply with state and federal statutes and regulations, including Texas licensure requirements, Medicare conditions of participation, physician self-referral (Stark), anti-kickback, EMTALA and HIPAA
- Prepared application for 501(c)(3) exemption from federal income tax for health care providers and other Texas non-profit corporations
