employment Law

Davis & Wright’s Employment Law Practice Group provides comprehensive employment law services both to our regular corporate and health care clients and to other clients who seek our expertise. Our growing employment law practice includes both the successful defense of clients before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts, as well as the dispensing of practical preventive advice to avoid costly litigation.

Defense of discrimination charges of all kinds before federal, state and local human rights commissions is an important part of the firm's practice in this area. In addition, routine services of the firm's employment attorneys include drafting personnel policies, employment agreements and affirmative action plans, negotiating labor contracts and executive-level severance agreements, conducting sexual harassment investigations and other investigations of serious employee misconduct, instituting drug abuse testing programs, and rendering day-to-day advice on employment terminations and compliance issues arising from newly-enacted legislation.

Davis & Wright's trial attorneys have successfully defended clients in federal and state courts on a wide variety of discrimination charges and civil rights claims, as well as in wrongful termination and whistle-blower cases. The firm's attorneys have also handled union organizational attempts, unfair labor practice charges, strikes, Wage and Hour Administration investigations OFCCP audits, OSHA charges, workers' compensation retaliation lawsuits, and a host of other regulatory labor issues.
